Good news for those disappointed by the new Joy-Con 2 colours (or, shall I say, the lack of colours), as Dbrand has announced new skins that match the recently released colours.
To add some context, Nintendo recently debuted a new colourway for the Switch 2 Joy-Cons: light purple and green. However, instead of making the entire controller the new colourway, Nintendo only made some hidden details (underneath the joysticks and connector points) purple/green, which did not sit well at all.
If Nintendo is going to release more of these colored Joy-Cons, they absolutely cannot be like this. When you can’t see most of the colors its practically pointless. They did this right in the last generation but now they’re going backwards.
Charging more for less. How pathetic. pic.twitter.com/1hsCxjI7NL

With that in mind, the new “colormatched” skins are currently available for preorder for US$19.95 (C$27.68), with shipping starting in February. Dbrand has also said that the skins will retail for US$19.99 (C$27.74).
If you are a fan of Dbrand’s Killswitch product, like our former Head of Creative, Brad Bennett, you are in luck: there will also be colormatch skins for it, retailing for US$14.95 (C$20.74), and they will ship in February.
Interestingly, Dbrand’s Colormatch line also offers the original red/blue colourway the Switch is known for, if you want to replicate the original Joy-Cons.
