After revealing the Scythe, a new hip-hop supergroup, in January, they are back with “The Scythe.” The new single features a chant-filled hook set against scratched production and sharp verses from TiaCorine and Ferg. “I was on one when we created this song,” Ferg says. “It was the night of my first art show… Taking the energy from the success of my show back to the booth where there was more energy with the Scythe created not only a monster of an anthem, but a moment in history!”
Speaking on the track, Tia adds, “Denzel really showed me the power of production and trust. My verse was for a whole different beat, and Denzel says, ‘You gotta start doing bigger sounds, trust me.’ So that’s what I did, and that’s how we got ‘The Scythe.’”

The group, which includes Denzel Curry, Bktherula, TiaCorine, Ferg, and Key Nyata, channel the unified energy of Curry’s beginnings by paying homage to the South and its musical legacy. The new LP is the first full-length from Curry since 2024’s King Of The Mischievous South. He’s currently on tour across Europe and the U.K. with Deftones and just dropped “Hive Mind” with Knocked Loose.
