Sean “Diddy” Combs expects to be out of jail next year, despite currently serving a four-year and two-month sentence for prostitution offenses.

The rap mogul is currently residing in FCI Fort Dix, the facility the Bureau of Prisons assigned him to after his specific request. According to reports, he has bragged to his inmates that he will be given a pardon by President Donald Trump early next year.

Sean “Diddy” Combs has also filed to appeal his case, with the trial expected to be expedited.

Just days after being moved to FCI Fort Dix to begin serving his sentence, Diddy has reportedly told fellow inmates that he expects to be released next year.

The rapper was handed down a four-year, two-month sentence for a prostitution-related offense, of which he has already served thirteen months while being detained during his trial.

However, per TMZ, the rapper has bragged to his inmates that he will be receiving a presidential pardon from President Donald Trump next year, a move that had long been speculated during and immediately after the rapper’s trial.

Insiders who spoke with the outlet also shared that Diddy has made “promises” to take care of his fellow inmates if the pardon comes through from the Commander-in-Chief.

This comes after it was revealed that some White House staff had urged Trump not to pardon the embattled music mogul; however, a source stated, “Trump will do what he wants.”

For now, it remains unclear whether such a pardon is on the President’s agenda for next year, as there has been no confirmation from any White House representative.

Diddy did request one, a move that one of his lawyers confirmed in August during an interview with CNN.

“It’s my understanding that we’ve reached out and had conversations in reference to a pardon,” Nicole Westmoreland told the outlet at the time.

Trump later also noted weeks later that Diddy indeed asked for a pardon, but at the time, the billionaire mogul didn’t confirm or deny if he intended to grant him one.

“A lot of people have asked me for pardons,” Trump said in an interview at the Oval Office, per ABC News. “I call him Puff Daddy, [he] has asked me for a pardon.”

If a pardon doesn’t come through, Diddy has already set an alternative plan in motion.

The rapper filed an appeal to overturn the conviction just days after he was handed the harsh prison sentence.

Already, the rapper has scored a small victory in the matter, as his motion to expedite the matter was granted on Monday by U.S. Circuit Court Judge Beth Robinson.

“Appellant move to expedite the appeal on the following schedule: Appellant’s opening brief and appendix due by December 23, 2025; the Government’s brief due by February 20, 2026; Appellant’s reply brief due by March 13, 2026; and oral argument in April of 2026,” the judge wrote, per Deadline.

“IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that the motion is GRANTED. Briefing shall proceed on the proposed schedule and argument shall be held as early as April of 2026, subject to the approval of the Presiding Judge,” it read further.

While in prison, Diddy could also get time shaved off his sentence if he gets enrolled in the facility’s Residential Drug Abuse Program (RDAP).

To get this benefit, Diddy will have to remain in the “very intensive therapeutic program” for a year, according to attorney James J. Leonard Jr., the lawyer whose high-profile client Joe Giudice once served time in Fort DIX.

During the program, Diddy will reportedly not be placed within the general prison population.

“You’re in a different housing area with other participants in the program, all of whom have been carefully screened, all of whom have to be both legally and clinically eligible,” the attorney revealed to Fox News Digital.

Diddy Was Seen Smiling And Mingling With Other Inmates At FCI Fort Dix

The recent report about Diddy bragging about getting a presidential pardon comes days after TMZ obtained photos of the disgraced rapper in prison shortly after his transfer from MDC to FCI Fort Dix.

In one of the images shared by the news outlet, Diddy could be seen walking in the prison yard while donning an orange beanie and navy blue puffy jacket, seemingly to keep warm.

In another set of photos, the rapper was all smiles as he mingled with other inmates at the facility.
