The embattled rapper, who is serving a four-year sentence after being found guilty of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution, recently filed an appeal, demanding his “immediate release.”

Sean “Diddy” Combs’ son’s visit comes shortly after former NBA player Sebastian Telfair, who was recently released from prison, gave an update on the music mogul’s well-being behind bars.

Diddy’s rep, Juda Engelmayer, shared with TMZ that the rapper and his son, Justin, had a heartwarming reunion on Christmas Day after the budding actor paid his father a visit behind bars at FCI Fort Dix Prison in New Jersey.

The father and son duo reportedly had a deep conversation, as they shared life updates with each other. Diddy and Justin particularly talked about navigating these trying times for their family, praying and prioritizing their loved ones.

However, despite it being the holiday season, there were no physical gifts exchanged between father and son, as such a practice is not allowed at the facility.

Engelmayer also revealed that Diddy and a few other inmates had a private reflective mass, where the rapper continued with his introspection.

The news of Justin’s visit to his dad came after Sebastian Telfair opened up about his time with Diddy at FCI Fort Dix.

The 40-year-old former NBA star was recently released after serving time for a probation violation stemming from the 2021 NBA health care fraud case in which he submitted false claims for reimbursement by the league’s health and benefits plan.

He pleaded guilty in 2023 and was sentenced to 3 years of probation at FCI Fort Dix, where he crossed paths with Diddy, who’s currently serving a 50-month sentence at the same facility for violating the Mann Act.

“I met some good people — shout out Diddy,” he told TMZ. “My boy Diddy is in the spot too. I couldn’t imagine how Diddy felt, but Diddy’s holding it down, he’s doing what he’s got to do. Where he’s at, they’re going to help him.”

Elsewhere in his chat with the news outlet, Telfair, who was a first-round pick in the 2004 NBA Draft, explained that the Bad Boy Records founder is adjusting as well as one can, and that his incarceration could serve as a reset from his “rock star” life, although he’s in “good spirits.”

“We all know Diddy’s business,” he said. “Diddy was living a rock star life. I’m glad he’s gonna get the time to relax and, as my boys will say on the inside, get some time for yourself.”

Telfair added, “Diddy’s in good spirits, he’s still Diddy. Diddy is gonna be Diddy no matter where he’s at.”

Following his criminal sex trial, Diddy was sentenced to over four years in jail as he was found guilty of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution, a violation of the Mann Act.

He was moved to Fort Dix from Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center to attend to his drug addiction issues using the in-house program, as well as to be close to his family.

Back in November, a video obtained by TMZ showed the rapper going about his prison labor at Fort Dix’s media library located inside the chapel.

He serves as a chaplain assistant, and his duties involve him giving out movies and religious materials to inmates. Diddy also gets to clean the office from time to time and help with some record-keeping.

The disgraced music mogul has been seen chatting with other men outside the prison yard, with his beard now full and grey.

Diddy’s Lawyer Demands His ‘Immediate Release’

Meanwhile, Diddy’s lawyers have filed new court documents alleging that Judge Arun Subramanian acted as the “thirteenth juror” in the rapper’s criminal trial by handing down a sentence “based on the very allegations of coercion and other acquitted conduct the jury had rejected.”

Lead appellate Alexander Shapiro demanded that the court effect Diddy’s “immediate release,” adding that the court ignored the verdict when it “insisted it needed to impose a ‘serious sentence’ reflecting the ‘aggravating factors that I have addressed,’ especially ‘the coercion.'”

Shapiro’s filing presents “a separate and independent basis for overturning Combs’s convictions,” arguing that his First Amendment rights were violated by Judge Subramanian.

The lawyer stressed that Diddy was only “an observer and producer,” and that he did not have sex with the parties that participated in his infamous “freak offs.”
