President Donald Trump has made multiple appearances and interviews throughout his career, especially since the start of his second presidency. Recently, he had a conversation with Fox News. During the conversation, he gave an interesting segue to one question in particular from Fox News personality Dana Perino.
Fox News Alum Dana Perino Previously Served As A White House Press Secretary
Perino previously served as the 26th White House press secretary under President George W. Bush. Following this, she has served as a political commentator for Fox News.
In addition, Perino serves as a co-host for The Five. Recently, the talk show had a prominent call-in guest: President Donald Trump.
During this live appearance, Dana Perino asked the president a question about the humanitarian crisis in Iran, noting reports of Internet shutdowns and famine. She asked, “Do you have any insight into how they’re doing? Do they have drinking water? Do they have food? It’s upsetting.”
For his part, Trump appeared to ignore the question, instead thinking about a past lunch they had at Trump Tower. After acknowledging that he did have some insight, he asked her, “But first, do you remember when we had lunch years ago in the base of Trump Tower when it was a brand-new building?”
Trump Continued Paying Compliments To Perino Before Returning To Iran Question
Perino responded, “It was a long time ago, yes.” To this, Trump shared, “Long time ago, and you haven’t changed. You have not changed,” causing Perino to answer with a small laugh.
Trump continued to compliment Perino’s appearance, noting, “Now, I’m not allowed to say this, it’s the end of my political career, but you may be even better looking, OK?”
The president continued to praise the studio’s hair and makeup department. Explaining his previous comment, he continued, “I will not say that because that will end my political career. You know, you’re not allowed to say a woman’s beautiful anymore. You know that, Jesse. You gotta be careful.”

However, Trump did return to talking about Iran. While not giving specific details on food or water, he did express that Iranians felt a sense of fear toward their own government.
