Charlie D’Amelio was just 15 when she became an internet sensation. She rose to fame during the COVID pandemic for her short dance videos on TikTok. Her content included her sister and parents. But after years in the public eye, the DWTS alum reportedly gone no-contact with her family. Keep reading to find out what’s going on.
From TikTok To DWTS To Broadway
Charlie D’Amelio is now 21 with a net worth of a reported $454 million. She turned her social media fame into brand deals. The TikTok star brought her parents, Marc and Heidi, and older sister Dixie, along for the ride.
The D’Amelio family was often in the audience to cheer Charli on during her stint on Dancing With The Stars. She competed on Season 31 of the ABC celebrity dance show. Charli D’Amelio was paired with pro dancer Mark Ballas, who came out of retirement just to dance with her. They won the Mirrorball Trophy that season.
Television viewers got a look inside the D’Amelio family dynamics when they starred in a reality show for Hulu. The D’Amelio Show ran for three seasons before it was canceled in 2024. It was reportedly a mutual decision, as the family wanted to move on to other ventures.
For Charli D’Amelio, that meant Broadway. She made her Broadway debut in October 2024 as Charmion in the musical & Juliet at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre. Fulfilling her dreams has reportedly caused a rift in the family.

Charli D’Amelio Goes No-Contact With Sister, Family
Charli D’Amelio has been the breadwinner for her family since she was a teenager. She’s reportedly sick of it. A source spilled to the Daily Mail that the DWTS alum cut off contact with her parents and sister. “They seemed really toxic and pushed her to work so much,” the insider said.
The source added, “Her parents treated her like a cash cow. This is a teenager who was taken advantage of, for money, by her already rich parents, leaving her aggressively sexualised and massively hated online for having the maturity of a teenager.”
Charli D’Amelio hinted on the family’s reality show about how fame affected her mental health. “I am physically and mentally exhausted. It’s work, it’s my personal life, it’s negative comments, it’s school, it’s content I make for myself, it’s deliverables, it’s meetings, it’s interviews, it’s everything,” she said in one episode.
The insider told the outlet that the D’Amelio family thought the Hulu reality show would bring them closer together, but tore them apart instead. “They were constantly trying to force Charli to do things she didn’t want to simply because it would bring in more money and fame,” the source said.
Charli D’Amelio’s parents reportedly saw the family as the next Kardashians. However, that didn’t happen. The TikTok star hasn’t publicly commented on the Daily Mail article, but stay tuned for a response.
