Dylan Brady of 100 gecs has released “Needle Guy,” out via his label Dog Show Records in partnership with Atlantic. It marks Brady’s first solo release since 2018 and follows his work with Skrillex on the hit me where it hurts x EP, as well as last year’s F*CK U SKRILLEX YOU THINK UR ANDY WARHOL BUT UR NOT!! <3.
“Needle Guy” has been teased for months in clubs, thanks to Four Tet and Skrillex playing it during a set in San Francisco in December, plus a performance between Brady and Skrillex in Miami that same month.

As one-half of 100 gecs, Brady has consistently been influenced by Skrillex’s work, and in a 2023 cover story interview with AP, his bandmate Laura Les got more specific: “Sometimes you need something to trigger catharsis. Sometimes you just want to fucking bang your head to something. It takes you out of yourself for a minute, you know?”
