Erika Kirk recently took part in an event in Arkansas on behalf of Turning Point USA. During the moment, she gave a speech, with one phrase in particular going viral. Since then, people have criticized the moment, defended her, and shared a few memes.
Turning Point USA’s Erika Kirk Recently Met With Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders
Erika Kirk is the widow of activist and Turning Point USA co-founder Charlie Kirk, who was fatally shot in September 2025. She was appointed his successor following his death.
Recently, Erika joined Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders at the Governor’s Mansion. This was to announce plans to expand conservative student groups in schools.
Kirk and Sanders signed a proclamation encouraging both high schools and colleges in the state to start chapters of Turning Point USA’s Club America.
Outside the mansion, however, things grew tense as protestors gathered to oppose the partnership, feeling it would push partisan agendas. Clashing with supporters, this soon led to arrests.
For her part, Erika tried to urge the crowd to stand firm against criticism. However, one part of her speech ended up going viral.

During her appearance, Erika shared, “Don’t let anyone disenfranchise you because you’re a young man, especially a young white male man. Don’t ever let anyone talk down to you. We need strong men out there, strong men who are convicted… that will be good leaders, good husbands, good fathers.” She also encouraged young women not to compromise their values.
Since the moment was shared on social media, many figures took issue with the phrase, “Young white male man.” In particular, many found it redundant, with some jokingly suggesting she meant “Young white mailman.”
On Social Media, People Shared A Number Of Reactions, Including Memes About Mailmen
However, some felt the phrasing was too exclusionary. On social media, one commenter wrote, “What message is this for young black male men? Or young Asian female women?”
With the event becoming a national talking point, however, some commenters also came to Kirk’s defense. Many thought that the comments alluded to cultural biases against young men.

Ultimately, the conversation became filled with people criticizing and defending Kirk, amid a number of memes. Some comments included:
- “Erika Kirk nailed it…young white men ARE being targeted and told their natural strengths are ‘toxic masculinity.’ The left/Dems push this nonstop to weaken family structures, patriotism, and traditional values. Don’t buy the lie that you’re the problem just because of your race.”
- “I think she said it because it is an issue whether people want to believe it or not.”
- “The US has gone from white fragility – a complete incapability to discuss white privilege, to openly, laughably suggesting that white people are the ones suffering from institutional racism in the US.”
- “Could be a strategy to make herself seem relatable to young white men who feel alienated politically.”
- “She knew exactly what she was doing. Whether you agree with her or not, she just handed the internet a mirror and everyone is reacting to what they see.”
- “’Strong men who are convicted…?’”
- “Don’t you know she is talking about USPS, mailman.”
- “I appreciate her concern for white Mailmen. My Mailman is a great guy, works hard, always on time and friendly. Lets hear it for the Mailmen!!!”
