Erin Bates Paine welcomed her seventh child in August. Her husband, Chad Paine, shared the heartbreaking news with fans that his wife and newborn son faced complications after the birth. The family was finally reunited when mom and baby were released from the hospital after a three-week stay.

The Paines just celebrated one month since Henry was born by sharing pics of the baby boy after a stay in the NICU. How are Erin and baby Henry doing now?

Erin Bates’ Health Update One Month After Hospital Stay

Erin Bates Paine comes from a big family. Her husband, Chad Paine, does, too. The couple married in 2013 and welcomed their first child in 2015. They’ve added six more children to their family since then. They announced in April that they were expecting their seventh child, a boy they planned to name Henry.

But Henry didn’t stick to the plan. He arrived prematurely at the end of August. He was born healthy but was placed in the NICU to gain strength. His mother, on the other hand, suffered serious complications that nearly cost her life.

Erin Bates Paine developed a UTI and a kidney infection that landed her in the ICU. She also suffered a seizure during the hospital stay. It was touch and go for a while, but she pulled through.

Baby Henry and his mom were finally released from the hospital in early September after a three-week stay. But she’s not completely out of the woods yet. She still hadn’t regained the use of her right leg by the time she was released from the hospital.

Erin Bates Paine and her husband recently shared photos celebrating Henry’s one-month birthday. She gave an update on her health in the social media post.

“To answer many of your questions…My leg still isn’t functioning, but I am learning how to navigate using a walker and wheelchair much better now. I’ve been doing physical therapy consistently and they are hopeful that time will heal,” she wrote.

Erin Bates Paine and her husband moved from Tennessee to Florida a few years ago. They wanted to be closer to his family. He owns and operates the Paine Construction company in DeLand, Florida.

Erin’s siblings and in-laws jumped in to help with her six other kids while she was in the hospital. Now that she’s home, she can finally enjoy snuggles with her newborn son. She shared photos on Instagram of the “newborn squish.”

You wouldn’t know from looking at him that the newest Bates-Paine baby had been in the NICU for nearly a month. Fans have been encouraging Erin and Chad not to have any more children after the scary situation of Henry’s birth.
