Europa Distribution continues its various events and activities, once again strengthening its long-standing and successful collaboration with Cartoon Movie (3-6 March). This partnership, established more than 15 years ago, aims to enhance access for independent film publishers and distributors to the most important market and pitching event dedicated to European animated films. It provides a valuable opportunity for the European Network to refine its members’ release strategies, promotional campaigns and innovative initiatives, with a particular focus on animation.
A closed workshop will take place on Tuesday 3 March and host case studies on recent European animation films’ releases in various markets. On this occasion, distributors Vanessa Ciszewski (Luftkind Filmverleih, Germany), Michal Dvorak (Zero Gravity, Czech Republic), Florian Hafsia (Distri7, Belgium), Adeline Margueron (Le Parc Distribution, Belgium), Richard Reiter (Filmladen Filmverleih, Austria) and Igor Stankovic (MCF MegaCom Film, Serbia) will share their marketing and release strategies for several animation films released recently. Particularly, they will present detailed analysis on the following films: Animal Tales of Christmas Magic (Germany), Arco [+see also:

In the coming months, Europa Distribution will continue its discussions on the unique challenges faced in the circulation, release and promotion of independent European films. Europa Distribution will hold a workshop on the release of European documentaries at CPH:DOX from 15-18 March and right after that, a training dedicated to communication and negotiation, followed by a common working session with exhibitors from Europa Cinemas at the Sofia Meetings from 18-22 March. Afterwards, ED will hold the closing session for their EDMS mentorship programme in Brussels on April 10 and a workshop focusing on Asian releases in the scope of Focus Asia, from 26-29 April in Udine.
