Sicilian police officer Claudia is putting together an album comprising objects found on the bodies of dead migrants. It’s an encounter between two lonely souls, a phantom shipwreck, and a journey between a thriller and a noir novel, inspired by a true story…
Produced by Italian firm Eurofilm (Simoneta Amenta) and French outfits Offshore (Fabrice Préel-Cléach) and 13 Prods, Il registro has been pre-purchased by RAI and enjoys development and production support from the Fund for French-Italian Co-Productions (steered by the CNC and the Italian Ministry of Culture). The feature film also enjoys backing from the Sicily Region where the five-week film shoot will continue until 30 March. World sales are entrusted to The Pool Films while distribution in French cinemas falls to Bac Films.
