Flanker brands Fido, and Virgin Plus are back with some new plans. It’s worth noting that these plans all include some auto-pay discount, meaning you’ll need to set up pre-authorized payments. Additionally, these plans are bring your own phone and do not include the purchase of a handset.
Virgin Plus
- $45/mo, 10GB + unlimited international texting, call display, call waiting, conference calling
- $50/mo, 40GB + unlimited international texting, call display, call waiting, conference calling
Fido
- $45/mo, 10GB + $0 hotspot promotion, 500 international texts
- $50/mo, 40GB + $0 hotspot promotion, 500 international texts
- $55/mo, 60GB + $0 hotspot promotion, 1000 international texts

Notably, these new plans are pricier and have less data than before. For example, Virgin Plus previously offered 10GB for $40/mo and 40GB for $45/mo back in August. Now those same plans cost $5 more per month.
Meanwhile, Fido previously had $40/20GB, $45/50GB and $50/70GB plans, so not only is it now charging $5 more per month, it’s giving customers less data too.
Koodo has so far not changed its plans significantly since reintroducing 5G options back in July. Here’s hoping it at least stays the course and doesn’t follow the others in raising prices.
