Rogers-owned Fido and Bell’s Virgin Plus have further discounted their 80GB Canada/U.S./Mexico plans, making the limited-time deal even better ahead of its final day.
On Friday, Fido, Virgin, and Telus-owned Koodo all launched $35/80GB Canada/U.S./Mexico plans amid a flurry of other weekend deals. However, over the weekend, Fido and Virgin dropped their prices to $27/mo. At the time of writing, Koodo was still charging $35/mo for the plan.
Aside from the discount, the 80GB plan remains pretty much the same as before. Fido’s version includes 80GB of 5G data at speeds of up to 1Gbps, U.S. and Mexico roaming, unlimited international calls to 27 countries, enhanced voicemail, and other standard features like calling and texting. Typically, Fido charges extra for hotspot access, but at the moment, it’s offering free hotspot access with this plan.
Virgin’s plan includes 80GB of 5G data at up to 1Gbps speeds, unlimited talk and text in Canada, the U.S., and Mexico, unlimited international calls to 27 countries, and other standard features like hotspot, voicemail, call display, and more.

Both providers are offering a $55/100GB Canada-wide plan as well, though it hasn’t changed at all. Further, both providers list the deal as ending on March 31.
Overall, these plans are both really solid offers. It’s rare to see decent sub-$40 plans in Canada, and even more rare to see one below $30. So $27/mo for 80GB and North American roaming is incredibly good. Moreover, these plans are available alongside a ton of other great deals, including the likes of Freedom’s $40/250GB plan (also set to end on March 31).
In other words, if you’re in the market for a new plan, now is the time to buy.
