With the support of ECAM and the Madrid Audiovisual Cluster, FINDE (Meeting on Financing, Investment and Independent Film) returns to the ECAM Forum on 11 June, with the aim of consolidating Madrid as one of Europe’s leading centres for audiovisual investment and financing. Following the success of its first edition, it has established itself as a strategic initiative designed to connect independent cinema with the private investment sector.
Created in 2025, FINDE aims to equip audiovisual producers with the tools needed to work with new funding models, bridge gaps and generate practical, useful knowledge that facilitates dialogue between investors and the audiovisual industry.
Throughout the day, producers, investors, international funds, financial institutions and representatives from public and private organisations will take part in meetings, discussions and specialist sessions on audiovisual investment, alternative financing, tax incentives and strategies for attracting private capital to independent cinema.
The panels and round-table discussions at this year’s FINDE Talks – with titles such as “Combining tax incentives and alternative investment in film financing”, “Show me the Fund” and “How to attract investors to my project” – will feature participants including Alexandra Lebret (Together Fund), Rémi Burah (ARTE France), Khalil Benkirane (Doha Film Institute), Rebecca de Pas (Prada Film Fund), Celine Dornier (IPR.VC), Dan Wechsler (Bord Cadre), Patricia Spa (CAP7) and Sophie Erbs, alongside leading figures from the Spanish audiovisual and financial sectors such as Rafael Lambea (CREA SGR), Pilar Benito (Morena Films), Javier Villaseca (Sego Creative), Antonio Manso (Be&Jing) and Jesús Martínez (Moby Dick Film Capital).
This year, FINDE once again forms part of ECAM Forum, Madrid’s international co-production forum, created to connect talent with the market and promote the internationalisation of projects (read more). The event takes place from 9 to 11 June at Matadero Madrid. The initiative is organised by ECAM, with the support of the Community of Madrid, Madrid City Council, Acción Cultural Española, DAMA and the Institut Français in Spain.
“Now in its third year, the ECAM Forum has established itself as a leading international event, maintaining steady growth in both attendance and influence. We’re delighted to see how this platform continues to expand its reach, attracting an increasing number of prominent international figures, companies and institutions, whilst remaining true to its essence as a space for reflection. This year we have reached 800 accredited attendees and 160 guests, 90 of whom are international delegates – figures that reflect the maturity and momentum of the project,” said Gonzalo Salazar-Simpson, speaking on behalf of ECAM.
