Fizz Mobile has rolled out a free trial to allow Canadians to test out its network via an eSIM.
Starting today, new customers in Ontario, Manitoba, Alberta, and B.C. can visit the Quebecor-owned carrier’s website to sign up for the 15-day trial using their email and password. Notably, Fizz says no credit card is required for this offer, so it won’t automatically convert to a paid plan like many other trials do.
Once registered, you’ll be able to install the free Fizz eSIM and receive a temporary number. The package will include 3GB of data, 100 minutes for calls and 100 texts. As part of a recent rollout, Fizz says 5G connectivity will also be offered through the trial in areas where it’s available. And because this is an eSIM, you’ll still be able to use your existing mobile plan during the trial period.
All in all, it’s a pretty welcome — and long-overdue — offer to see from a carrier, especially since Fizz doesn’t try to grab you with auto-renewal.
