Flavor Flav’s GoFundMe Blows Up For Team USA Women’s Hockey Vegas Bash

Flavor Flav is following through on his promise to throw a gold-medal celebration for Team USA Women’s Hockey, and fans and local Las Vegas businesses are making it happen in a big way. 

The rapper and reality star launched a GoFundMe just a few days ago to support the July weekend-long Vegas bash honoring the team’s Olympic victory in Milan, and the fundraiser has already far exceeded its goal and is on its way to exceeding the new goal.

Flavor Flav, known for his larger-than-life personality and iconic “Yeah Boy!” energy, is calling on fans to join in the fun and help make the Vegas celebration unforgettable. And the fans are absolutely answering that call!

With contributions rolling in via GoFundMe and offers to help, the Team USA women are in for a Vegas weekend full of excitement, recognition, and plenty of Flavor Flav flair. After announcing his plans less than a week ago, not only have fans stepped up to pitch in for the grand celebration, but so have local Vegas businesses, celebrities, and many others.

When The Blast reported on Flavor Flav’s GoFundMe just hours after it launched, it was well on its way to meeting the $50,000 goal. Now, just two days later, the goal has been increased, multiple times, and is now set for $130,000. Where is the total at currently? As of Saturday morning, it’s nearing $100,000!

There are currently more than 2,000 donations, with the largest ones being $1,000. Many have been reaching deep into their pockets to share the wealth for the Vegas party that’s promising to be a huge celebration for the “She Got Game” weekend in July.

In addition to the GoFundMe, Flavor Flav is getting help from brands, celebrities, and Vegas businesses to ensure this party is one for the books.

The list of supporters is long. Just a few of the local Vegas businesses that have offered to help one way or another includes The Henderson Cheese Co., How Ya Dough’n Pizzeria, Hott Cakez of Las Vegas, Resorts World, Palms, Allegiant Stadium, Ramsay’s Kitchen, Cabo Wabo, Magic Mike, Coyote Ugly, Awakening at the Wynn, Brad Garrett’s Comedy Club, Fremont Street, F1 Arcade, Atomic Golf, Topgolf, The Mob Museum, and the list goes on and on.

As well as Vegas businesses, many brands and celebs have also offered to assist Flavor Flav in planning the best celebration.

On Monday, Flavor Flav took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to send a message to the USA Women’s Hockey team after they declined a visit to Washington, D.C.

“If the USA Women’s Hockey team wants a real celebration and invite, I’ll host them in Las Vegas,” he wrote. “Do some nice dinners and shows and good times. I’m sure I can get a hotel and airline to help me out here and celebrate these women for real for real.”

He then shared more information about the planning on his Instagram page.

“FLAVOR FLAV::: Cuz this wasn’t big enough,,, I wanna invite ALL the female Olympic and Paralympic medalists from the United States out to Vegas and we got you covered,, we gonna do some nice dinners, throw a big party and a parade and a concert,,, and go to some concerts and shows,” he wrote in his caption. “Thankx to all the companies and brands and musicians and entertainers who reached out. We gonna celebrate and show em SHE GOT GAME,!!”
