Fox & Friends‘ Carley Shimkus Shared Big News At The End Of A Friday Segment
Shimkus is a journalist known for her work with Fox News, having joined the network in 2009. She currently co-hosts FOX & Friends First. In addition, she is also known for serving as a reporter and substitute anchor on Fox & Friends.
The journalist grew up in New Jersey and has been married to businessman Peter Buchignani since around 2015. The couple already shares one son together, Brock.
Recently, while live on air, Shimkus revealed that her family is growing. The co-host revealed that she is pregnant with her second child.
At the end of the news segment on Friday morning’s episode, Shimkus shared, “I’m having another baby. My husband and I and Brock, my son, who’s now three, are so excited.”
The co-host even revealed the baby’s due date, as well as the expected due date. Noting that Brock is getting a baby brother, she shared, “Baby number two is going to be due at the end of July.”
Shimkus Revealed That The News Caused Her To Consider Big Life Change
Noting that her son is getting his first sibling, Shimkus revealed, “I pray that they’re going to be the best of friends throughout their whole entire life. And I’m so excited to have another baby and have it be a boy. Before I got pregnant, I was thinking…wouldn’t it be nice to have like a sweet little girl who likes to color? But then, when I got the news that I was, I just knew I was having another boy. And I knew this baby is just such a blessing from God. And I’m so excited to have a second child.”
During the share, Shimkus revealed that she was already around 22 weeks pregnant. She also added that she was considering a major life change ahead of her second son.
During this, fellow host Brian Kilmeade noted that people often consider leaving the city as their family grows. Carley confirmed that she was already sharing property listings with a friend for homes in Massapequa. This caused Brian to tease that they would be neighbors. In turn, she mused that he would be a “built-in babysitter.”
Taking to Instagram, Carley also shared the clip of her big live announcement, where she thanked Fox & Friends for the moment. The family also showcased a little gender reveal party in a carousel post. Carley appeared with her husband and son while holding a cake slice with blue icing inside. As she captioned the post, “Big brother training starts now. Baby boy #2 arriving in July!”
