The News Was Announced During A Good Day New York Broadcast
Good Day New York is a morning show that is shot at the Fox Television Center in Yorkville, Manhattan. The long-running series premiered back in 1988.
Over the years, various hosts have been featured on the show. Recently, however, one host has announced their upcoming departure during the show.
Host Curt Menefee announced he would soon be leaving his position on the show. Currently, he hosts alongside Rosanna Scotto.
As noted by SiLive, Menefee currently lives on the West Coast. He has cited the work commute as the reason behind his decision to leave the show.
Menefee is known to many as the host of Fox NFL Sunday, being part of the show since 2007. He joined Good Day New York in early 2024.

During a recent broadcast, Menefee explained his decision. As he shared, “January will be two years since I’ve been doing ‘Good Day New York.‘ But I’m not coming back in 2026.”
“It’s one of those things that has been a great time. You have been welcoming, the staff has been wonderful, but the back and forth has been a lot. My wife is there full time, and we see each other 20 hours a week.”
Menefee’s final broadcast will be on Friday, December 19, as confirmed by Fox 5. At this time, it’s believed he will continue in his role with Fox NFL Sunday.
In a joint post on Instagram, Fox 5 NY, as well as Menefee and Scotto, shared Menefee’s farewell clip. As the station shared, “Curt Menefee is saying goodbye to his role at Good Day New York, where he’s co-hosted alongside Rosanna Scotto for nearly two years.”
