Freedom Mobile’s higher-end plans now have less data as the carrier removes its back-to-school pricing. It also appears that at some point between June 12 and July 24, the carrier got rid of the extra discount it used to give Bring Your Own device customers (BYOD).
The new plans are listed below, but as always, we recommend most people just get the $39/60GB since that’s a lot of data and it roams across North America for free. That plan hasn’t changed, and likely won’t until Black Friday deals start to appear.
Last year on Black Friday, the best two deals from the company were $29/10GB and $35/50GB. This year, I wouldn’t be that surprised if Freedom just upped the data on the $39 plan to 75GB, but I would be shocked if they lowered the price.
Today, the carrier has also added a new $79 plan with 250GB of data. It’s also worth mentioning that you can get a free tablet or watch plan with Freedom’s more expensive plans. Typically these are $10-$15 at most carriers.
