Steven Spielberg, one of America’s most celebrated filmmakers, returns this year with his upcoming science-fiction film, Disclosure Day, and you can watch the brand new trailer below!
This project will be Spielberg’s follow-up to The Fabelmans and is a UFO film based on an original story by Spielberg, with David Koepp writing the screenplay, continuing a long-running partnership between the two. Koepp previously penned the screenplays for Jurassic Park and War of the Worlds. John Williams also returns and will compose the score for the film, marking his 13th collaboration with Spielberg.
It follows humanity’s realisation that extraterrestrial life is real, and the lengths powerful figures may go to keep secrets from the public. This signals a grand return to the alien genre, which Spielberg is so well-renowned for.
There are many discussions about how much trailers today reveal about a movie’s plot, but what makes Disclosure Day stand out is its ability to keep much of its story under wraps. Instead, it builds the intrigue and strong curiosity to discover more when the film arrives in theatres, positioning it as one of the summer’s must-watch blockbusters. Like the earlier teasers, the trailer maintains a dark, thrilling, and mysterious tone.
Emily Blunt leads the film, alongside Josh O’Connor, and a huge star-studded cast, including Colin Firth, Colman Domingo, Eve Hewson, and Wyatt Russell.
Synopsis:
If you found out we weren’t alone, if someone showed you, proved it to you, would that frighten you? This summer, the truth belongs to seven billion people.
We are coming close to … Disclosure Day.
Disclosure Day arrives in UK, Irish and U.S cinemas on June 12th.
