Samsung’s Galaxy Fold series is finally getting a charging speed update if the latest leak is correct. According to SammyGuru and reported by 9to5Google, the Z Galaxy Fold 8 will feature 45W wired fast charging.
Spotted by SammyGuru in the Chinese regulatory listings, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 will have charging speeds up to 45W. The listings included two model numbers, ‘SM-F9710’ and ‘SM-F9760,’ with the latter Samsung device being the rumoured ‘Wide’ foldable.
Samsung has been using 25W wired charging in most of its foldable devices, so it’s nice that the company is finally offering faster charging for its upcoming folding handsets. The Galaxy Z Fold 8 is also expected to have a 5,000mAh battery and offer a lighter and thinner build.
