The two OG Bravo stars addressed the elephant in the room during the most recent episode of their podcast, where they also questioned why Wendy and her husband, Eddie Osefo, would allegedly attempt to defraud their insurance company of thousands of dollars.

Gizelle Bryant And Robyn Dixon Express Sadness Over Wendy Osefo’s Arrest

On an episode of “Reasonably Shady,” Bryant and Dixon, who both joined the series during season 1 in 2017, reacted to the surprising news that Wendy and her husband had been arrested and charged with several serious crimes.

“First, I want to say that I am highly shocked, surprised, and disappointed by these charges,” Dixon began, prompting Bryant to reveal how “disappointed” she is about Wendy and Eddie’s legal woes.

As the episode continued, the two wives questioned Wendy and Eddie, who reportedly filed a phony police report claiming their home had been burglarized in 2024.

“Why? That’s my biggest question?” Bryant said before speaking about the pain Wendy and Eddie’s arrest has likely caused their three children.

“I immediately thought, first of all, huge disappointment. Sad, right, because this is so sad for their children. Guilty or innocent, their parents were removed from their house and brought down to a police station, and charged. They have mugshots, that is, I’m sure, super scary for their children, so sad,” she continued.

Bryant And Dixon Wonder Why Wendy And Eddie Allegedly Lied To The Police

Elsewhere in the episode, Bryant continued her line of questioning, wondering whether Wendy and Eddie allegedly lied about the burglary for “materialistic things.”

“What else is it for, though? Because it was highly intentional, highly planned, not well thought out, but thought out,” Dixon interjected.

Dixon, who left the popular reality franchise after season 8 in 2024, also mentioned a previous clip from the season 10 premiere, where Wendy boasted about her finances and the success of Eddie’s marijuana business, Happy Eddie.

“I saw a clip where she was kind of talking about how well Happy Eddie is doing, so it makes me think, okay, well, was that an exaggeration? Was that not the truth? I don’t know, but it’s also like, why? More why questions. Why did they think they could get away with this?” she continued.

Wendy And Eddie Osefo Claimed They Were Robbed In 2024

Wendy and Eddie were arrested during the late hours of October 9, 2025, according to a previous report from The Blast.

Police reports and official court documents claim the couple reported a burglary in April 2024, and reported several high-priced luxury goods as stolen from their bedroom while they were on vacation.

During the investigation, law enforcement officials reportedly found that several of the items Wendy and Eddie claimed were stolen had already been returned to stores for full refunds.

Additionally, officials stated that one of the flashy pieces of jewelry Wendy and Eddie reported stolen was seen on Wendy’s person in social media photos.

Ultimately, Wendy and Eddie reportedly signed documents claiming more than $400,000 in personal property losses.

Following their arrest, the reality TV couple was charged with insurance fraud, conspiracy to commit insurance fraud, and one count of giving a false statement to police.

Since the news of Wendy and Eddie’s arrest became public, they have faced public backlash, leading to Wendy’s resignation from her teaching position at Wesleyan University.

However, as a practicing lawyer, Wendy’s husband, Eddie, could also run into trouble of his own, including disbarment.

“Most States, including D.C., do institute discipline for attorneys convicted of fraud or other crimes of moral turpitude. Typically, they wait until resolution of [the] criminal case, but in extreme cases they may ask criminal court to make not practicing law a condition of bond,” Sam Bassett, a Texas criminal defense attorney, said.

“Eddie Osefo is at risk of losing his license. A state bar agency could definitely revoke his law license, especially upon conviction,” Bassett continued, stating that “generally, a license is always subject to review or revocation upon a felony arrest or conviction.”

“Dr. Wendy Osefo and her husband, Edward Osefo, are back home safely with their family and in good spirits. They are grateful for the outpouring of concern and support from friends, fans, and colleagues. The Osefos, alongside their legal team, look forward to their day in court. At this time, they respectfully ask for privacy as they focus on their family and the legal process ahead,” a statement from their rep read.
