The first-ever Golden Bachelor, Gerry Turner, is tying the knot yet again, over a year after splitting from his wife, Theresa Nist. Gerry and Theresa got married on television after meeting in the same fashion. So, how did he pop the question? Keep reading for more details.
Gerry Turner Getting Married Again
It was a whirlwind ride for Gerry Turner after he met Theresa Nist on The Golden Bachelor. He had over twenty women vying for his heart, but it was Theresa who stole it. They ended up getting married just months later in front of cameras and the whole world. Sadly, that marriage ended, and they ultimately divorced. His season spawned the hit, The Golden Bachelorette, with one of his ladies, Joan Vassos. Plus, a second season of The Golden Bachelor has just begun with Mel Owens. At the same time, Gerry ended up being diagnosed with an incurable blood cancer.
He also moved on and found new love, which was very refreshing. Gerry began dating Lana Sutton in early 2025 after meeting online. It looks like their love is lasting and a whirlwind, as they just shared that they are engaged. It has been slightly over six months since their first date. However, with what Gerry has been going through, time is of the essence. A snap of the couple by the water was shared, and she is sporting a large diamond ring. The two are beaming as they share the big news.

- We’ve got BIG news. The Golden Bachelor is OFF the market. I found my perfect match and she said “YES”. I Love this woman.
He also had a handful of snaps, aside from the beach, where he and his new fiancée looked over the moon. Fans and followers were confused and felt that this was an insult to Theresa Nist. Yet, they have been over for quite some time, so it is normal for people to move on.
