Meeting on a TV dating show is untraditional to start with. But Golden Bachelorette couple Joan Vassos and Chock Chapple break the Bachelor Nation standard in other ways, too. They lead separate lives in different states, but maybe not for much longer. Joan and Chock shared that they’re finally ready to take the next step.
Joan Vassos & Chock Chapple Ready To Take Next Step?
The most successful Bachelor Nation couples are the ones who move in together shortly after the show. However, Golden Bachelorette couple Joan Vassos and Chock Chapple break that mold. They have a long-distance relationship. Joan Vassos lives in Maryland, while Chock Chapple resides in Wichita, Kansas. But that could change soon.
The popular couple took to social media with a video addressing some of the most common questions they get from fans. Joan and Chock’s living arrangements are a hot topic among Bachelor Nation fans, often leading to breakup rumors.
But the couple insists that they’re happy where they are and love their arrangement. But that doesn’t mean they plan to live separate lives forever. They revealed during the fan Q&A that they plan to move in together soon. But again, not in the traditional sense.
“One day we will. We haven’t figured out the city yet,” Joan Vassos said. She added, “I think we will probably keep our houses and we’ll have a love shack somewhere nice.” Chock Chapple noted that his fiance is traveling to Florida soon, so he expects her to fall in love with the state.

“We kind of meet up in other places, so it’s actually been really fun doing it the way we’re doing it. I don’t think we’re ready to stop that yet. The long distance actually makes getting together really fun,” Joan Vassos said about taking the next step in their relationship.
Golden Bachelorette Couple Reveal Wedding Date
While Joan Vassos and Chock Chapple don’t have detailed plans to live together, they still want to get married. And maybe sooner than fans would think. The Golden Bachelorette couple did attend a wedding last summer, but it wasn’t their own. One of Joan’s sons got married. Another of her sons is tying the knot this summer.
With 2026 out of the question, Chock Chapple revealed that the wedding could still happen sooner rather than later. “In 2025, Joan had a big wedding for her oldest son, Nick. And then she’s got another one getting married this year, so we’ve elected to not compete with them. That’s what I’m saying, let them have their year. So you might look for something in 2027,” the Golden Bachelorette winner said.
Elsewhere in the video, Chock Chapple and Joan Vassos addressed their blended families. The couple revealed that their kids are all friends with each other. Some Bachelor Nation fans don’t think Joan and Chock will ever get married. Share your thoughts in the comments.
