Google has required Fitbit users to migrate their Fitbit account data to a Google account for a while, but now the company has pushed back the deadline once again.
According to an update on the support page, the new migration deadline is May 19, 2026. Interestingly, Android Police noted that previous deadline changes were communicated via email, unlike the support page method.
Google has required new Fitbit users to sign in with a Google account since 2023, but existing accounts have been allowed to continue, with ongoing reminders to migrate. Last March, Google extended the deadline to Feb. 2, 2026.
For those who decide to migrate, the company will provide access until Jul. 15, 2026, to download or delete their account data. After that, Google will start deleting all Fitbit account-related data from its servers.
