Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay is the subject of a new docuseries. The series follows his personal and professional life as he takes on a huge project. The Hell’s Kitchen star hinted at retirement, revealing the one thing that could force him out of the restaurant industry.
Gordon Ramsay Subject Of New Docuseries
Gordon Ramsay worked as a professional chef for over a decade before becoming a reality TV star. His intense, high-stakes cooking style was featured in several British documentaries. He brought his skills to the U.S. for Fox’s Hell’s Kitchen in 2005. Season 24, which was filmed at Foxwoods Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut, wrapped up this week.
Gordon Ramsay has starred in numerous kitchen shows since then, including MasterChef and Hotel Hell. Now, he’s going back to his roots with a Netflix docuseries. Being Gordon Ramsay lets viewers into the chef’s professional and private life like never before. His wife, Tana, and their six children take part in the docuseries.
But the main focus is Gordon Ramsay’s shocking next move. The famed restaurateur plans to open five different restaurants in the same space at the same time. 22 Bishopsgate is one of London’s tallest buildings. It will soon be home to five restaurants from famed chef Gordon Ramsay.
TV Insider reported that the five restaurants feature different flavors and experiences: “RGR High, a 12-person intimate dining experience; Lucky Cat 22, which serves brunch, lunch, and tea, with Asian-inspired small plates; and Gordon Ramsay Academy. Expected to open soon are the Lucky Cat roof terrace and Bread Street Kitchen & Bar.”

Celebrity Chef Hints At Retirement
Gordon Ramsay turns 60 later this year. He’s worked in high-stress kitchens for most of his life. However, opening five restaurants at once is an ambitious project. He’s not even sure if he can do it. If he fails, he fears his career won’t recover.
“22 Bishopsgate is the most ambitious project I’ve ever opened in my entire life. Five businesses under one roof. If Bishopsgate was to fail, yeah, I’m f**ked,” he said in the trailer for the Netflix docuseries.
“I think I may retire after Bishopsgate,” he added. “There is so much riding on this. Reputationally. Financially. It scares the sh*t out of me. This is gonna take balls of steel.”
Gordon Ramsay isn’t planning to step away from the kitchen anytime soon, but he may not have a choice if his latest project fails.
All six episodes of Being Gordon Ramsay stream on Netflix on February 18, 2026. Fans took to social media to share their thoughts on the major project.
