Guy Fieri was rushed into emergency surgery and is going to be wheelchair bound after a crazy injury. While filming Flavor Town Food Fight, he fell down to stairs. However, one of his legs folded and got caught. He claims he felt his tendons rupture. He had to get surgery on it, and he ended up tearing the thickest part of his quad, which is abnormal. Now he will be in a wheelchair and on crutches until he is healed in about eight weeks.
“Oh, it’s going to affect it because I’m on crutches and in a wheelchair. I mean, I have to stay off it and the whole thing. I can’t walk on it for eight weeks. My son, Ryder, texted me from school, and he said, ‘Well, I guess all the training you’ve given me and all the cooking I’ve been doing while I was at school, it was going to be my time to shine.’ And I said, ‘I am so happy you’re asking me about this versus me telling you, you have to do it.’”
It seems as though he tore the thickest part of his quad. This was something that doctors do not normally see. However, he now has to use a wheelchair and crutches for the next eight-ish weeks. Now, on Thanksgiving, he is going to have to direct from the sidelines. This is not normal for him, and it will be a tough pill to swallow.
