She was also fed food when she could easily eat it herself. Dee Dee was not a great mother, but she did not deserve to die.

Gypsy Rose Blanchard has revealed that her salivary glands are gone. These are the glands that produce saliva. She revealed that Dee Dee would put Orajel in her mouth before they went to the dentist to make her drool. This is how she got them removed.
“So my salivary glands that produce saliva was removed from my neck. My mom would put Orajel before we would go into the doctor’s appointment on my mouth, to make me drool. Okay, so upon examination, the doctor saw me drool. It’s excessive drooling. ‘There is a way to take care of that. So let’s remove the salivary glands.’”
People were shocked to hear that her mother did this. However, this seemed to be normal for her.
