Earlier this year, Backbone debuted a new Xbox-branded controller inspired by gaming brand’s signature greens. Now, its released an upgraded Pro version of the Backbone One.
Like a regular Backbone Pro, this Xbox version sports a larger size versus the base Backbone One, Bluetooth connectivity, full-size ALPS sticks, Hall Effect triggers, remappable back buttons, as well as Xbox-specific buttons. Naturally, it also comes in a green that’s reminiscent of Halo‘s Master Chief. On top of that, it has a built-in battery, whereas the Backbone One is powered via USB-C connection.
The Backbone Pro features both native mobile gaming (including support for Apple Arcade) and streaming services like Xbox Cloud Gaming.
The Backbone Pro Xbox Edition costs $270, slightly more than the $240 regular non-themed Backbone Pro. For context, the Xbox Backbone One is priced at $160.
