Hannah Waddingham, who plays Rebecca Welton in Ted Lasso, has hinted at a summer date for the upcoming fourth season of the soccer comedy, Deadline reports.
The hint was made during an interview with Baz Bamigboye at Sunday’s BAFTA film awards. When asked about any possible dates for Ted Lasso’s Season Four, set to be available for streaming on Apple TV, the star replied quickly: “August, I think.”
Waddingham then stepped back and reconsidered such a specific answer, questioning: “Am I allowed to say August? What if I’m wrong? I think it’s August.”
The star was then prompted for any details of the season’s direction, stating: “It’s a whole different deal with our Lady Greyhounds. I can’t wait for everyone to see what they’ve come up with.”
“I love Rebecca Welton, my character,” she concluded. “The writing is so magnificent.”
Ted Lasso first aired in mid August of 2020, featuring a cast of Waddingham, Jason Sudeikis, Jeremy Swift, Phil Dunster, Brett Goldstein and Brendan Hunt.
