Steavenson revealed that she had sensed Kidman was already separated from Urban but chose not to press the actress on such a personal matter.

The journalist also noted that Kidman gave an unexpected response when asked how she felt now that she is in her fifties.

She had anticipated a thoughtful remark about the “sagacity of age,” but instead, Kidman’s reply struck her as “wry, rueful, and unsure of herself.”

“How many times do you have to be taught that you think you know where your life is going and then it isn’t going in that direction,” Kidman had replied at the time.

During the interview, the actress also revealed how she relies on a close circle of girlfriends for support through life’s ups and downs.

She named her “Big Little Lies” co-star, Reese Witherspoon, as one of those within this circle, along with a senior oncologist at Vanderbilt Hospital, whose identity was not revealed in the interview.

Two days after the amfAR Dallas auction in Texas, Kidman traveled to Paris for Fashion Week, where she was spotted at the Chanel runway show.

This time, the Oscar winner was accompanied by her daughters, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14, whom she shares with Urban from their nearly two-decade-long marriage.

She later took to social media to share photos of herself from the event, including a caption thanking the fashion giant for hosting her and her daughters.
