Viewers have been tuning into Howard Stern for decades. Recently, he used his show to give a rare update with listeners. This took place as a new schedule is also set to take place.
Howard Stern Gave A Rare Update While Speaking With Longtime Co-Host Robin Quivers
Stern is best known to many for his radio show, The Howard Stern Show. Since 2006, he has broadcast on SiriusXM.
In addition, Stern is known for various other projects. This includes books, late-night television shows, and pay-per-view events. Throughout his career, he has earned the moniker, “King of All Media.”
For years, Stern is also known for working alongside his longtime co-host, Robin Quivers. Beforehand, Quivers had worked as an air force nurse and a news reporter for WFBR in Baltimore. The two have been working together since around 1981 in Washington, DC.
Recently, while speaking on his radio show, Stern Show, Howard shared a news update concerning Quivers. As noted by The U.S. Sun, she had been diagnosed with endometrial cancer in 2012.
Stern shared a rare update concerning Quivers while speaking with her, noting, “Let’s be honest, Robin, if I may speak for you. You needed a more flexible schedule.”

Stern then discussed how Quivers was undergoing measures to battle cancer following this diagnosis. He continued, “Robin’s also busy trying to save her own life with a battle of cancer. And it does require a tremendous amount of her time. Like when she’s not on the air, she’s busy literally fighting cancer.”
As he went on, Stern also acknowledged the strain that the diagnosis had had on his co-host. He shared, “It breaks my f**king heart that she has to sit there with this because the woman loves to travel, she loves friends, she loves to do things.”
Quivers Previously Opened Up About Cancer Treatments Back In 2023
“She’s a go-getter, if you know what I mean. She’s a busybody, but she’s got to stay home, and she got to take care of herself. God forbid, anything gets into her body that could be a foreign agent. So she has really lived a lifestyle of perfection, which is now she’s healthy as f**k, but she’s still got to fight this goddamn thing, right?”
The update came as Howard’s new contract with fewer days a week will be put in motion. He explained that the new schedule is aimed to help Robin during her health journey.
As the outlet noted, Robin previously underwent surgery, as well as a 15-month regimen, which included radiation and chemotherapy. She had been cancer-free for three years. However, she relapsed in late 2016.
Speaking with People in 2023, Robin weighed in on her health treatments. At the time, she shared, “When you’re in and out of treatment, you’re always recovering and trying to get back to where you were. I feel fine. It’s been 11 years of dealing with this — and I’m still here. I’m interested in everybody having a fuller life, more options and knowing what’s possible.”
