In recent news making the rounds, an Indian national who entered the United States illegally in 2022 is responsible for a California highway crash that killed at least three people and left numerous others injured. So, what do we know about this situation in the aftermath of this tragedy?

Indian National Causes Major Collision On California Freeway
The crash in question took place on Tuesday, October 21, in Ontario, California. ABC7 is calling this crash “a deadly chain-reaction crash on the 10 Freeway.” The violent crash left at least three people dead and four others injured as a result. There is also dash cam footage of the horrific incident, and it has been making the rounds online.
According to the outlet, “The footage shows a semitruck slamming into the back of an SUV before plowing into multiple other vehicles in the same lane. The video is now the subject of a law enforcement investigation. In total, eight cars were damaged in the fiery crash.”

The driver who caused the incident has been identified as 21-year-old Jashanpreet Singh. He was living in Yuba City, in Northern California. He was arrested for driving under the influence of drugs, as well as for vehicular manslaughter.
Law enforcement has also confirmed that Singh was in the United States illegally and that he has been in the country since 2022. Jashanpreet Singh is facing several felony charges as a result of this tragic incident.
