Influencer Jazmyn Smith is revealing she had a miscarriage.
“Recently, Kevin and I found out that I was pregnant. So, so, so very excited,” Smith said in the Monday, February 16, YouTube video. “Unfortunately, yesterday I started having a miscarriage. Really not fun. Really bad timing.”
Smith shared that she and her husband, Kevin Callari, were in Turks and Caicos and she “cried every free moment” that she had over the weekend. While Callari asked if Smith wanted to go back home, she explained her decision to stay.
“I was like, ‘I feel like if I go home right now, I’m going to just cry in bed.’ And there’s literally nothing I can do about it. So, I feel like being with our friends on this trip is good for me. I’m really not OK, but I’m hoping being here will help,” she continued. “But I’m very sad because I was very excited. But again, nothing I can do about it.”
Smith shared that she’s “devastated” and “upset” about her miscarriage. “I hate that this is out of my control,” she said. “To go from being so excited to this. It’s just so awful.”
Smith explained that she and Callari had been actively trying to get pregnant.
“I’m like a shell of a human even though, like, I’m smiling and trying to have a good time,” she said, before praising her husband for his support. “He’s obviously devastated, too.”
Smith, who has more than 560,000 followers on TikTok, explained that she has “anxiety” about her ability to conceive in the future.
“I have anxiety about getting pregnant in the future because I’m like, ‘OK, I’m going to get pregnant, and I’m just [going to be] worried it’s going to happen again.’ So, that’s great for my anxiety,” she said.
“But it’s also, like, in situations like these where … I’m already, like, so, so confident I picked the perfect person for me, and in general,” she continued. “But like, how he is in times that aren’t great makes me more reassured about our relationship and choosing each other and all of that.”
Smith went on to note that it’s “really unfortunate” people on social media were commenting asking if she had a “bump.” She added, “I’m like, ‘If you motherf***ers don’t shut the f*** up.’”
At the end of the video, Smith shared footage from the day that she and Callari — who tied the knot in 2025 — found out about her pregnancy.
“Kevin, how do you feel about being a dad?” Smith asked Callari, who replied, “I’m excited. I’m not really that scared. I don’t know why. I don’t think there’s going to be any curve balls.”
In the caption of her YouTube video, Smith explained why she decided to keep the footage from when they “first found out” about her pregnancy in the clip.
“If you watched the full vlog, you saw I unfortunately had a miscarriage and I’m no longer pregnant but I wanted to include the footage so I have it to look back on and it makes me really happy when I watch it even though things didn’t turn out how we hoped,” she wrote. “I don’t keep any of the footage from my vlogs so YouTube really is my hard drive. I hope moving forward people can stop making comments or assumptions about our journey to starting a family.”
She continued, “I love sharing my life and I will share when we are lucky enough to have that happen when we are ready but I hope this [can] be a reminder that those kinds of comments can be very hurtful and you don’t know what people are going through.”
