Before The Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles faced off on Sunday, September 14, retired NFL player Jason Kelce took one look at the pregame fashion and threw a flag on the play.
Jason, 37, posted a video of his brother, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, arriving in style alongside a photo of Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith rolling up to the stadium on Sunday.
“Looks like we’re having ourselves a good old fashioned suit shorts battle this evening,” Jason wrote via X, poking fun at their style showdown.
Travis, 35, was clad in a navy Thom Browne suit set, which came equipped with a red, white and blue stripe down the back of the jacket paired with a collared shirt and tie, matching shorts as well as lace-up dress shoes. He completed his look with gold-rimmed sunglasses.

As for Smith, he was sporting a bright orange jacket with a single-breasted cut and a tailored fit, opting for a button-up shirt, a white lapel flower and a matching pocket square. The NFL star, 26, also rocked suit shorts that cut off above the knee while toting around a Louis Vuitton suitcase.
Several fans sounded off after Jason refereed their wardrobe war. “Smitty looks like a model,” one person replied, voting for Smith — while another quipped, “Tailor: What do you want today? Smitty: A cool step for a warm temp. @tkelce: Give me 92 percent open leg.”

“Travis wore it better,” a third person replied, and a fourth joked about the business on the top, party on the bottom-friendly look, writing, “There must be a big Zoom meeting happening.”
The Eagles ultimately took home the win after securing a 20-17 score in the game. It marked the Chiefs’ second defeat of the season, leading to their first 0-2 start since 2014.
Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes took blame for Travis’ fumbled catch in the fourth quarter while speaking to reporters after the matchup. Mahomes, 29, said he threw the ball “a tad too early” and should’ve aimed it closer to his body, adding, “It was just unfortunate the ball bounced up in the air and went right to [Eagles’ rookie safety Andrew Mukuba].”
