The Hollywood icon, best known for starring as Rachel Green on the hit sitcom “Friends,” has been vocal about her love for the theater. Although she began her career working in off-Broadway productions, she has yet to reach the big stage.

Jennifer Aniston recently doubled down on her Broadway goals, revealing she is both intrigued and frightened by the prospect.

Aniston has starred in multiple hit movies and TV shows, cementing her reputation as a renowned actress with numerous awards to her name. Despite her fame and recognition among her peers, she has mixed feelings about starring in a Broadway production.

“I haven’t done theatre yet because it terrifies me, but it’s the one thing I haven’t tried besides making an album, which I doubt I’ll do!” Aniston told Harper’s Bazaar. Although she appeared hesitant about joining Broadway like other popular actresses have, fear wasn’t her only emotion.

“I grew up in New York and loved going to the theatre, so I think it’d be fun,” Aniston added. The Blast shared that she echoed similar sentiments in June, revealing that a Broadway show was part of her bucket list and that she badly wanted to tick it off.

Why The Hollywood Veteran Hasn’t Appeared In A Theatre Show

In the interview, Aniston expressed her love for Broadway productions and her plan to star in a show before it was too late. Although she seemed desperate, she stressed that she wouldn’t jump at just any opportunity.

“That’s on my bucket list, but it’s finding the time and finding the right piece, the right material,” Aniston explained. She confidently believed that the right show would come to her at the perfect time, and she would make her long-desired theater debut.

As the child of actors, Aniston’s desire to join the entertainment industry started at a young age. She graduated from New York City’s LaGuardia High School and honed her skills by doing Off-Broadway productions. She finally scored her first significant film role in the 1993 cult horror-comedy, “Leprechaun.”

Aniston’s big break didn’t come until she landed the role of Rachel Green in “Friends,” which gained her international recognition and even starred her in her first marriage, to Brad Pitt. The latter guest-starred on an episode of the sitcom while he was still married to the actress.

The former couple tied the knot in 2000 and parted ways in 2005 amid rumors that Pitt had cheated on Aniston with his “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” co-star Angelina Jolie. The Blast reported that Aniston was also blamed for the divorce, with critics believing she chose fame over starting a family with her then-husband.

Aniston shut down the narrative, revealing that the public had happily torn her apart without knowing what she had endured in the past 20 years to pursue motherhood. She noted that she stayed silent amid the media scrutiny because her private struggles weren’t anyone’s business.

The SAG Award Honoree Struggled With Fertility Issues

Although Aniston did not want to share her “medical woes,” she was forced to break her silence when the scrutiny became too much to handle. She addressed her fertility struggles in 2022, confessing that she had undergone IVF treatments under the radar in her efforts to start a family.

Aniston also utilized holistic treatments and prioritized her body to achieve the best results; unfortunately, nothing worked. She claimed that she would have given anything to have been advised to freeze her eggs when she was younger, but that ship had regretfully sailed.

Besides choosing to shut down the critics bashing her as “selfish” and “a workaholic,” Aniston broke her silence to stand in solidarity with other women battling fertility issues. She noted that many people she knew were undergoing IVF treatments at the time, and she hoped her story would help them.

Another problem Aniston continues to face is the growing use of artificial intelligence in false advertisements. The Blast reported that the TV personality did not appreciate people using Deepfake images or artificially created videos of her to promote their business and content.

“I catch things all the time, or friends send me things saying, ‘I don’t think this is you’, or ‘I don’t think you’re advertising this’, and I’ll send it to my lawyers so they can do a cease-and-desist,” Aniston revealed. She added that she disliked the situation because a similar scenario occurred on “The Morning Show.”

Aniston’s character on the Apple TV+ drama series had faced a dilemma when someone used A.I. to impersonate her. She also slammed the billionaire tech moguls who profit from the rapid growth of A.I., slamming them for taking down “a huge portion of humanity” with their creations.

Will Jennifer Aniston make her Broadway debut soon?
