Jeopardy! Host Ken Jennings Has Discussed ICE In A Few Recent Posts
Jennings was first introduced to viewers of Jeopardy! as a contestant. During this time, he went on to win a 74-game consecutive streak.
Jennings eventually returned to the show in 2020. Initially serving as a producer, he eventually took over hosting duties for the show in 2023.
On January 14, Jennings took to social media to share a photo of a highway warning sign. It read, “WATCH FOR ICE,” likely in reference to the weather conditions. Jennings shared the post on various outlets, including Instagram and BlueSky.
In a caption, Jennings wrote, “Good reminder from this state highway!” While the phrase could be taken literally, some fans suspected Jennings was alluding to recent current events, including the recent shooting of Renee Nicole Good.
Fans Shared Various Reactions To Jennings’ Post On Social Media
On January 7th, 2026, Good, a 37-year-old, was fatally shot by an ICE agent in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The shooting has since inspired protests throughout the country, with various figures weighing in on both sides.
This comes out after Jennings had reposted other BlueSky shares concerning ICE. This included sharing polls that discuss support for the abolishment of ICE.

Around this time, he also shared a post from Madiba Dennie, the deputy editor of legal commentary website Balls and Strikes. It read, “Semi-regular reminder that ICE was only created in 2003. When you are asked to imagine a world without ICE, you’re basically being asked to remember where you were when Lilo & Stitch came out.”
Jennings’ recent post, however, has since sparked mixed reactions online. Some felt that he should avoid getting into politics. On the other hand, others suggested that Jennings delve into politics even further. Some comments include:
- “Ken, I appreciate you, a public figure putting yourself out there and speaking up. Thank you.”
- “Hi ken will you run for president or something pls and thx.”
- “Thank you for using your platform, Ken.”
- “Once ICE is abolished, what’s the back up plan for deporting people who should be deported?”
- “You have a huge platform and I am sure are under pressure to ‘not offend’ anyone… Thank you for sticking your neck out and staying true to yourself.”
