Jeopardy! host Ken Jennings recently took to social media to discuss the current administration in light of current events. During the conversation, he also replied to a few commentators. The conversation also brought to mind previous admissions Jennings had made regarding politics.
Ken Jennings Has Worn Many Hats When It Comes To Jeopardy!
Jennings first became known to audiences after appearing as a contestant on Jeopardy! back in 2004. Following this first appearance, he would go on to win 74 consecutive games.
In 2020, the Edmonds, Washington-born Jennings would return to the show, this time as a producer. Eventually, he would take on hosting duties for the show, alongside Mayim Bialik. However, he soon became the show’s sole host in 2023, which has worked quite well.
The Jeopardy! host recently shared a few political posts on social media. He then responded to comments after his initial postings.
Jennings Responded To Comments
On Jan 6, 2026, Jennings wrote, ‘America is always like “Ok, but the NEXT regime change will work,’ like when I ‘cut out carbs’ briefly every January.” The following day, Jennings wrote, “The ‘prosecute the former regime at every level’ candidate has my vote in 2028.”
In the comments to this post, actor and comedian Andy Kindler, known for his work with The Daily Show and Bob’s Burgers, wrote for Jennings to consider a presidential run, even offering to be his vice president. This caused Jennings to share, “Line of succession is Ken Jennings, Andy Kindler, and a third thing.”

Later that day, Jennings shared another post within a few hours, said to be in reaction to another post. This time, he wrote, “It’s been a dark week, but I just saw someone reply to an ‘Abolish ICE’ post with a scoldy Bluesky ‘Uh, try abolish DHS’ and that joy will sustain me for a little while.”

Allegedly, Jennings’ posts appeared to be a reaction to various current events. This included the recent capture of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, with a raid that killed at least 75 people, to an ICE agent shooting a Minnesota woman who was labeled a domestic terrorist by Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem.

This is not the first time Jennings has talked about running for office. Back in 2011, during a Reddit AMA, he recalled that politicians Chuck Schumer and Harry Reid asked him to run for the United States Senate from Utah in 2004.
