Jesse Watters has often weighed in on various conversations on his Fox News shows. Recently, he got into a bit of a debate with one of his co-hosts. However, some comments he made sparked criticism on social media.
Jesse Watters & Co-Hosts Recently Discussed Current Events In Iran
Watters is known for his work with a number of Fox News programs. Many were first introduced to him through The O’Reilly Factor, in which he hosted the “Watters’ World” segment.
Since then, Watters has become known for hosting his own namesake series, Jesse Watters Primetime. He is also a co-host on The Five,
Recently, the co-hosts of The Five were discussing the war in Iran. At one point, co-host Jessica Tarlov asked, “When is this thing going to be over?”
Watters appeared to take issue with this question, saying it was not a “serious contribution to a discussion about a war.” He also described it as a “question that a five-year-old would ask,” adding, “If you don’t know what the goal is you weren’t listening.”
A Few Comments Expressed Sympathy For Jessica Tarlov On Social Media
For her part, Tarlov also emphasized that things started as a regime change. When commentator Greg Gutfeld felt otherwise, she reiterated that it was. She claimed, “[President Trump] said today, ‘We already did a regime change’ because you got Ayatollah Junior.” This was in reference to the strikes having both killed Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Hosseini Khamenei while injuring his son, Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei.
The co-hosts appeared to go back and forth during the conversation. Watters also appeared to feel that Tarlov should “stop hyperventilating” and “relax” when she appeared to become compassionate about the conversation.

On social media, as noted by The U.S. Express, Watters’ comments didn’t sit well with some commenters, who accused him of “mansplaining” the situation to Tarlov. Others took issue with Gutfeld’s comments, with one citing a Truth Social post in which President Donald Trump appeared to describe the situation as a “regime change.” In particular, some comments expressed sympathy towards Tarlov. Some comments included:
Watters: Jessica asked a question a five-year-old would ask: when is this thing going to be over? That’s not a serious contribution to a discussion about a war. If you don’t know what the goal is you weren’t listening.
