Kate Gosselin Is ‘Happier’ About How Her Kids Feel Towards Bodyguard BF

After raising eyebrows by rekindling rumors of her 2009 affair with former bodyguard Steve Neild, Kate Gosselin has spoken about how “happier” she is, especially with the acceptance she has gotten from her kids.

This comes after Kate softly launched her boyfriend, Neild, online, marking a grand reveal that she is moving on with love. 

However, while some of the mom of eight’s children may be happy for her, it seems not all share the same sentiment. Her son, Collin Gosselin, has openly called her out.

In a recent TikTok post, the mother of eight shared a video of her dog biting a leg —presumably Neild’s. In the overlay text, she gushed over the relationship between her pet and her boyfriend, claiming it loves her boyfriend as much as she does.

In response, a fan commented that they were “so happy” that Kate has a new man in her life now that her kids are grown. The 50-year-old replied to the “kind comment” with some heartfelt insight into her children’s relationship with Neild. 

“My kids always worried about me being alone when they were grown. This makes them so happy too. Which of course makes me even happier!” she wrote, per PEOPLE Magazine.

Her joy was further reaffirmed when another fan mentioned how peaceful she now appears. The former reality star agreed, acknowledging how good it feels to finally be in that peace.

Kate’s openness about being happy with her kids in her new relationship follows her subtle introduction of her boyfriend on TikTok.

As The Blast reported, Kate hasn’t hidden the fact that she’s seeing someone, as her boyfriend’s presence subtly appeared during one of her livestreams.

Her new partner briefly showed up while delivering her a latte. Although his face wasn’t visible, his hand appeared on camera as he passed her the cup. Kate smiled and thanked him, later adding, excitedly, that the latte was “yummy.”

Fans quickly caught on. As Kate read comments aloud during the live, one viewer wrote, “Hello to the boyfriend.” Kate echoed the comment and mentioned that he waved in response.

Although Kate didn’t disclose full details about her man during the broadcast, when a fan asked about her love life, the “Jon & Kate Plus 8” star admitted she had been dating someone for over a year. 

She kept his identity private but hinted that their bond was both strong and long-standing.

While Kate stayed discreet, her boyfriend was later confirmed to be Neild, her former bodyguard. Close sources revealed that their connection runs deep.

“They have wedding plans, it’s that serious,” an insider shared, per The Blast, suggesting just how much Kate loves her new partner.

Despite Kate’s claim that her kids were happy about her new relationship, there seems to be an exception. Her son, Collin, previously called her out in a scathing social media post.

Collin made serious allegations against his mother on his Instagram Stories, warning the public not to be fooled by her seemingly blossoming relationship. While Kate confirmed she’d been dating for over a year, she never revealed who her boyfriend was.

As The Blast reported, Collin accused her of sharing hotel rooms with Neild whenever the family went on vacations, while he stayed in a connecting room. 

“Now everyone thinks her being with him is some cute novel romance,” he lamented, suggesting that the public was being misled by the alleged couple.

Amid the ongoing family drama, Kate recently shared her Thanksgiving plans with fans, revealing that she and her boyfriend, Neild, had invited some of the kids to join them for the holiday.

However, she explained that due to the distance between her home and her children’s colleges, they might not be able to make it.

“They don’t have enough time off for Thanksgiving to come here and then get home back to college. It’s just gonna be me and him, I guess,” Kate said.

Per The Blast, she added that when she told Neild about it and asked what they would do, he jokingly suggested they go dancing, an idea that didn’t sit well with Kate, who is still recovering from a fractured leg.
