A “confused and upset” X user shared the video and slammed Perry for her actions, commenting that her mom baked the cake, though the claim seemed to be a sarcastic dig.

“My mom was the one that baked this cake; she was so excited about the opportunity to make a cake for Katy Perry and spent so long on it. I’m genuinely confused and upset as to why she would do this,” the X user shared.

Someone else wrote that Perry “can’t do anything without being cringe AF,” while others branded her as “awful” and “annoying.”

However, a few fans threw in a word in her defense, with one writing how the singer “paid for it and she can do whatever the f-ck she wants with it.”
