QVC fashion designer Kim Gravel is reacting to a shopper who called into her show with an unforgettable testimonial.
âI loved it!â Gravel, 54, exclusively told Us Weekly on Monday, March 16, of the callerâs unconventional fashion confession. âThatâs the fun of live TV. You never know what a caller is going to say. Moments like that are exactly why I love taking calls during shows. It reminds me that weâre all just women having a good time talking about clothes â and apparently tassels!â
Over the weekend, QVC shared a clip of a woman named Maryanne praising Gravelâs clothes.
âI wanted to tell you that I got that blouse with the tassels, and I used to wear the tassels on my pasties,â the caller said. âDo you know what pasties are? Well, I had tassels on my pasties.â
During the live â and unscripted â moment, QVC program host Mary DeAngelis quickly stepped out of the shot, likely to hide her full reaction.
As for Gravel, she kept the conversation going and praised the shopper for sharing her story.
âMaryanne, I just want to say this: You are my emotional support diva,â Gravel said. âYou have just made my whole entire day. Maryâs walked off. Sheâs dead on the couch. Maryanne is my sister from another mister.â
DeAngelis, 50, added, âIâm having therapy with Maryanne right now.â
Gravel is one of QVCâs top fashion designers and was previously named the networkâs vendor of the year. In addition to her fashion brand, Belle by Kim Gravel, she also has her Love Who You Are beauty line.
Her next project is a digital course titled Selling With Soul. Launching Tuesday, March 17, the eight-module digital course breaks down Gravelâs exact playbook behind generating over $1.4 billion in live sales.
âSelling With Soul is built on the belief that live selling is a conversation, not a performance,â Gravel shared in a statement to Us. âWhen you focus on genuine connection and create a space where people feel valued, the audience responds and the business grows in an authentic, sustainable way.â
As for live phone calls, Gravel previously told Us that she has no idea what to expect when the program hosts welcome in a shopper during a show.
âNot only do I [not] know what to expect, but QVC doesnât,â she told Us in May 2025. âIt is truly, authentically the customer calling in. And you never know what theyâre gonna say. They never tell you in your ear, âSheâs gonna ask you about this.â All you see on the screen is their name and where theyâre from. Thatâs it.â
