Kim Kardashian is facing backlash after her daughter, North West, revealed a second finger piercing, sparking concerns over safety and parenting.

The preteen’s hand featured multiple dermal piercings, which carry infection risks due to hand movement and bacteria, leading critics to question whether Kardashian approved the procedure.

While Kim Kardashian says she’s “still learning” as a parent, her ex-husband, Kanye West, reportedly disapproves, as he sees North as “too young” for edgy fashion.

Kardashian has come under fire after her daughter, North West, revealed her latest body modification: a second finger piercing.

The preteen surprised fans by posting close-up photos of her hand, showing multiple jewelry pieces, including two dermal piercings.

In images shared, one finger featured two silver studs, while another displayed a blue gem on her middle finger. North first debuted the silver piercing during a trip to Rome with her mother in August.

Unlike traditional piercings, dermal or surface piercings use a small anchor inserted beneath the skin to hold the jewelry in place.

Another image appeared to show the piercing procedure, with a rod going through North’s finger.

Experts warn that piercings on the hands carry a “high risk” due to bacteria, frequent movement, and friction, which can increase the chances of infection or rejection.

However, it remains unclear where North had the piercings done or whether Kardashian or her ex-husband, Kanye West, gave permission.

Some speculate the procedure may have been performed abroad, as most U.S. studios would not pierce a minor with dermal implants.

The photos quickly went viral, sparking debate online, particularly on Reddit and Twitter, over whether North’s parents should have allowed the procedure.

Critics argued that permitting such piercings prioritizes friendship over responsible parenting.

“I couldn’t imagine giving my 12-year-old permission to have dermal and surface piercings like this, especially with the complications that come with them,” one wrote, per the Daily Mail.

Another noted, “That is the worst place to get a piercing. The hands get the dirtiest out of any body part. Keeping it clean so she doesn’t get an infection is going to be challenging for North. She could wear gloves to keep it cleaner.”

Others said “a 12-year-old is not mature enough to care for this piercing responsibly,” suggesting Kardashian might be indulging North’s desires too much.

“Now I’m all for body mods and get whatever piercings and tattoos you want but she’s 12. This is completely wrong and that thing is going to reject and especially because at 12 you’re still growing. Just horrible that most likely Kim would allow that,” a netizen added.

This is not the first time North’s style choices have drawn criticism. Last month, Kardashian faced backlash after letting her daughter wear a corset while out in Rome.

On the “Call Me Daddy” podcast, the 44-year-old reality star explained that she is “still learning” as a parent, noting that North often experiments with her style based on what her friends are wearing.

“It’s really hard and it’s really interesting because all the kids are wearing the same things,” Kardashian said. “But then my daughter tries to wear it, and then I’m like, ‘OK, we’re never wearing that again.’ Unfortunately, we made that mistake in front of the whole world.”

The SKIMS founder added that North, who usually dresses like a tomboy, is simply exploring new looks and learning from her experiences.

“But what I do know is my baby’s such a good girl and such a sweet girl,” Kardashian said. “She does listen to me, but in other areas, I’m like, ‘Babe, if you want blue hair, it is what it is.’ It makes her so happy. I would never take that creativity away from her.”

Meanwhile, it has been revealed that Kanye West disapproves of North wearing bold, edgy outfits and holds Kardashian responsible for allowing it, according to a source.

The insider told Globe that the 48-year-old rapper believes his 12-year-old daughter is “way too young to be parading around like this,” and warned that “it needs to stop, or he’ll raise hell with the lawyers.”

The source added that West is frustrated by feeling out of control and unable to influence North’s choices.

“He’s ranting and raving about this, saying Kim’s crossed the line and he’s not going to stand for it,” the insider said.

A source pointed out the irony of West’s alleged complaint about his daughter, noting that the rapper himself has encouraged risqué fashion in the past.

“It’s ridiculously ironic that Kanye’s not happy about this, given the fact he dresses [wife]Bianca in revealing outfits seven days a week and encouraged Kim to push the envelope with sexy barely-there fashion choices the entire time they were together,” the source said.

They added that it’s difficult to fault North for experimenting with style, since she’s grown up surrounded by provocative fashion.
