Koyo have dropped “What I’m Worth,” their new single from their upcoming album, Barely Here. The song explores being suffocated, as vocalist Joey Chiaramonte grapples with wanting to escape a situation and feeling unable to.
The video, directed by Eric Richter, features Chiaramonte in an empty apartment in Los Angeles. The hazy, sun-drenched visuals include metaphors for being trapped, like in the infamous LA traffic and the boxes stacked throughout the apartment.

With their next album, which they describe as a refined, no-frills LP, Koyo chose to continue sharpening what they do best, rather than change their sound — something Chiaramonte felt bands feel pressured to do for their second full-length. Barely Here will include features with Sammy Ciaramitaro of Drain and Marisa Shirar of Fleshwater.
Koyo are currently on tour supporting Rise Against alongside Destroy Boys. Later this summer, they’ll embark on a tour with Hot Mulligan and Joyce Manor.
