Kylie Jenner grew up on reality TV. She’s reportedly forcing her longtime boyfriend, Timothée Chalamet, into a reality TV wedding.
Timothée Chalamet Facing Rare Backlash After Offensive Comments
Timothée Chalamet has been doing more interviews than usual as the battle for Best Actor heats up. He’s up against several big names for the 2026 Oscars, including Ethan Hawke and Leonardo DiCaprio. However, his biggest competition seems to be Michael B. Jordan. The consensus is that one of those two will win. It would be the first Oscar for both, though Timothée Chalamet has been nominated twice before in the Best Actor category. Tune into the Oscars on Sunday, March 15, to see who takes home the trophy.
But his recent comments may hurt his Oscar bid. During an interview with Matthew McConaughey for Variety, Timothée Chalamet said that “No one cares” about ballet or opera. “I don’t want to be working in ballet, or opera, or things where it’s like, ‘Hey, keep this thing alive, even though like no one cares about this anymore.’ All respect to all the ballet and opera people out there,” he said.
However, the ballet and opera “people” took issue with the actor’s statement. It’s one of several gaffes the actor has made recently. Could a reality TV wedding help or hurt his image?
Kylie Jenner Forcing Oscar-Nominated Actor Into Reality TV Wedding?
Timothée Chalamet is an extremely private person. In contrast, Kylie Jenner has had most of her life documented on reality TV as part of the Kardashian family. Rumors that the unlikely pair were dating started in early 2023. The couple confirmed the rumors later that year by attending the U.S Open together.
Kylie Jenner has supported her actor boyfriend by attending multiple award ceremonies. Timothée Chalamet gave her a rare shout-out at the 2026 Critics’ Choice Awards. “And lastly, I’ll just say thank you to my partner of three years. Thank you for our foundation. I love you. I couldn’t do this without you,” he said, seemingly addressing Kylie Jenner without saying her name.

Now, a source spilled to OK! magazine that a reality TV wedding could be on the horizon, despite Timothée Chalamet’s desires to keep the relationship private. “There have been exploratory talks about capturing major milestones on camera, and a wedding would be the ultimate ratings moment,” the insider said. They added that the couple would be well-compensated, nabbing a nine-figure payday.
Not even the rising actor could turn down that money. “Timothée is chasing status as one of Hollywood’s heavyweight stars, and reality TV does not fit with that. But an offer of $100 million to rope him in would be too much for him to resist,” the insider said.
Several of Kylie Jenner’s sisters have done TV weddings, including Khloe and Kim Kardashian. Neither of those marriages lasted. Tell us in the comments if you would watch Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet marry on reality TV.
