Laguna Beach is preparing to air a twenty-year reunion special exclusively on the Roku Channel. A handful of the most iconic cast members have agreed to participate, and millennial hearts are bursting. At the same time, interviews are plentiful with many new revelations.
LB’s bad girl, Kristin Cavallari, just opened up about her connection to Bravo’s long-running series, The Real Housewives of Orange County. So, is a crossover in the near future? Keep reading for more details on what she had to say.
Kristin Cavallari Joining RHOC?
In September 2004, the world was taken by storm when MTV began airing Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County. It detailed the lives of seniors and some juniors, living their best lives in Laguna Beach, California. They had friendship and relationship drama while working, going to school dances, and figuring out their futures. Due to its instant success, it was quickly renewed for a second season, and Kristin Cavallari was a breakout star. Billed as a “villain,” she was also the girl so many wanted to be. Her clothes and hairstyle, as well as the way she spoke, were emulated, and she became a cultural icon.
In 2006, Bravo began airing The Real Housewives of Orange County, which also became a phenomenon. It spawned several spinoffs, some that are still massive hits to this day. Now, the RHOC is filming its 20th season, and Laguna Beach is having a 20th reunion special. While doing press for the upcoming reunion, airing April 10th on Roku, Kristin shared her deep connection to RHOC. As it turns out, a crossover could have been possible as she and Vicki Gunvalson’s daughter, Briana Culberson, were best friends:
“This is actually funny — Vicki, her daughter, Briana, and I went to school together freshman year, before I moved to Laguna Beach. She was one of my best friends. No one knows that. So, I know — or knew — Vicki really well.”
Another Connection To The Show
Kristin Cavallari also has another deep and more recent connection to RHOC. The Laguna Beach fan favorite shared that she is friends with Gretchen Rossi, who just appeared on Season 19. She was previously on Seasons 4 through 8 before leaving and just making guest appearances. Then, she came back for one season, but it seems she was not asked back. Kristin expressed her deep love for the series, so could she be the next RHOC housewife? She has the connections, and Vicki Gunvalson will be back for Season 20.
That is unlikely, but about a year before Kristin shared the tea, Vicki had some stories to tell. She discussed Kristin and Briana’s high school shenanigans on her own podcast, My Friend My Soulmate. Maybe the three ladies can get together for a dinner to give the viewers what they want.
