LeAnn Rimes Reveals The Truth Behind Her 9-1-1 Transformation

LeAnn Rimes is setting the record straight after fans questioned whether she had gone under the knife for her new role in “9-1-1: Nashville.”

The 43-year-old took to Instagram to address speculation that she’d had a boob job, following her debut as Dixie on the ABC hit spinoff.

With humor and honesty, Rimes clarified that her transformation on screen had nothing to do with surgery, just clever costuming and a seriously supportive bra.

During an Instagram Q&A on November 9, LeAnn Rimes poked fun at a fan’s short comment that simply read, “boob job,” according to Us Weekly.

Laughing off the question, she said, “If you are referring to my boobs, I can’t believe I am talking about my boobs.”

The country star went on to explain that her curvier appearance as Dixie came from wardrobe choices, not cosmetic enhancements.

“I have the most massive push-up bra of life on,” she quipped, before assuring fans, “So no, I did not get a boob job. Nothing that has not been there already.”

Rimes even joked about how dramatic the difference was when the costume came off, saying that when she took off the bra one day, her boobs stayed up by her chin a bit before they fell.

Her playful response quickly shut down the rumors while keeping her trademark sense of humor intact.

Following the buzz around her debut, LeAnn Rimes discussed what drew her to “9-1-1: Nashville,” the newest addition to the hit franchise.

She revealed to Us Weekly that she was captivated by the show’s over-the-top stories.

“I was talking the other day to Rob Lowe and he was talking about how, ‘If you want reality, you don’t go to this series. We have the craziest rescues, which is what’s so interesting,’” the actress recalled.

Rimes added that the storylines are often based on true events.

“We’ll be like, ‘There’s no way this has happened before in real life.’ Then they’ll show us the articles because they’re pulling from real-life situations,” she said.

According to the singer, once viewers embrace the craziness of the show, they quickly fall in love with its charm and energy.

She herself admitted that after a few episodes, she was completely hooked.

Rimes also opened up about how she landed her role as Dixie, revealing it had been years since she auditioned for anything.

“I was asked to come read — and I had not read for a role since I was 17,” she explained. “I went and I was like, ‘If I blow it, whatever, it’s not a big deal.’”

The “It’s Christmas Eve” star recalled bringing cigarettes to her audition to help get into character.

Rimes said that since her audition scene involved smoking, she bought a pack and practiced handling them at home without lighting one, as she had never smoked before.

Her preparation paid off, as she nailed the audition and was offered the role before even getting home.

Rimes described Dixie as a villain but also really lovable, predicting that viewers would love to hate her and they’ll really love her too.

LeAnn Rimes’ honesty extends beyond her acting career. This year, she opened up about her health journey, revealing how she has faced multiple challenges, from dental surgeries to psoriasis and early perimenopause symptoms.

As The Blast reported, during a June performance in Washington, her dental bridge fell out mid-song. “So last night, I was on stage in the middle of One Way Ticket. I feel something pop in my mouth,” she told fans. “It fell out in the middle of my song last night.”

Rimes continued singing while discreetly holding her teeth in place, later explaining, “I just had to get real with everybody and tell them exactly what was happening.”

She also revealed that she first got veneers at 16 but needed several oral surgeries after bonding issues.

Beyond her dental ordeal, Rimes has openly discussed psoriasis and undergoing surgery in 2024 to remove precancerous cells.

Speaking to Us Weekly, she said sharing her health story helped her learn how to love herself through all of her different “incarnations.”

“For so long, it did feel like I was hiding so much of myself,” she shared. “It did allow for the insecurity of thoughts I’ve had in the past about ‘I’m not pretty, I’m not good enough.’”

Rimes, who first revealed her psoriasis in 2020, said that being honest about her struggles was such a moment of relief.

Over the years, she has learned that every time she shares her story, whether about her skin, her teeth, or perimenopause, she feels more empowered.

“Every time I talk about it, I set myself — and someone else — free,” she explained.
