From Farewell Game To Hennessy Promo—Now A Fan Wants A Refund
According to court docs, 29-year-old Andrew Garcia—who calls himself a lifelong Lakers fan—filed a small claims lawsuit in Los Angeles County this week, demanding $865.66 from LeBron James for what he’s calling fraud and deception. Why? Because when Bron teased a life-changing “decision” earlier this week, Garcia believed that LeBron was about to announce his retirement.
Acting fast, Garcia hopped on Ticketmaster and dropped serious coin on two seats for the March 31, 2026 game against the Cavs—LeBron’s former team—thinking it would be the GOAT’s final appearance. But the next day, LeBron revealed the whole thing was just a promo for his Hennessy collab… and now Garcia says those pricey tickets aren’t worth a dime. “I wouldn’t have purchased it if he wasn’t going to retire. Plain and simple,” Garcia told TMZ Sports. Meanwhile, LeBron, who’s still the NBA’s all-time leading scorer, hasn’t publicly responded to the backlash or the lawsuit.
