Level Up Showcase 2026 will take place in Toronto on April 7 at the Sheraton Centre.
Organized and co-hosted by post-secondary institutions like the University of Toronto and Humber Polytechnic in partnership with XP Gaming, the annual event brings together Canada’s gaming industry to support student game development. This year, more than 3,000 attendees will be able to play over 150 student-created games from more than 22 post-secondary institutions and connect directly with their developers. A closing awards ceremony will also celebrate standout projects.
It’s also a great networking opportunity for up-and-coming game makers, as the likes of Ubisoft Toronto, Behaviour Interactive, Epic Games and Zynga are some of the event’s backers. Other organizations are also taking part, like the Hand Eye Society (the Toronto non-profit that supports the gaming industry through exhibition, education, and mentorship) and Interactive Ontario (the group that represents the provincial digital media industry).
Level Up Showcase 2026 runs on April 7 from 4-10 p.m., with the awards ceremony kicking off at 9 p.m. Those interested in attending can register for free through the website. Information on sponsorship opportunities is also available through that link.
