However, when she was competing in the Olympics in Milan, her competition did not go as planned. Lindsey ended up crashing and ended up having to be Medi-flighted off the mountain. She has been undergoing several surgeries since then. This was a tragic event for Lindsey, as it ended her Olympic dream.
She Deals With Tragic Death After Ending Competition In Hospital
Lindsey Vonn is now dealing with the tragic death of her dog Leo. He passed away only one day after she crashed during the Olympics. This was the worst timing possible, and Lindsey is having to digest everything that has happened.
This has been an incredibly hard few days. Probably the hardest of my life. I still have not come to terms that he is gone… The day I crashed, so did Leo. He had been recently diagnosed with lung cancer (he survived lymphoma a year and a half ago) but now his heart was failing him. He was in pain and his body could no longer keep up with his strong mind.
